New 7.92 was used in 1918 in the Fokker Dr. 1

I like the concept behind this, but I do have to ask, wouldin't the 7.62x25 mm round have worked the same as this? I just wonder if it wouldin't have been more cost efficient to use an existing round, and perhaps just change the bullet type? I ask because I know that the 7.62x25 can pierce alot of armor other pistol bullets cannot.

I'm absolutely knocked out of my chair by the possibilities of this round.
I sure wish VBR could get this to be a standardized caliber world wide, I'd especially love to see factory glocks chambered for it. Imagine a glock 19 in this round, imagine the capacity and the recoil! With a properly designed bullet this could really be the end-all of defensive calibers.

@futureF35pilot the 7.92mm kurtz was the worldsfirst assault fifle round it was used in the STG-44 used by the germans near the end of WW2 it is a bottle necked rifle round but I supose a ridiculosly impractical pistol like the Desert Eagle could probably handle it though it is a pretty rare round so there isnt much of a market for guns that shoot it

@papaburger The video I saw, the projectiles were being demonstrated using a Glock 17. Look up the vbr glock 17 7.92x24 C2FS cartridge video.. I think you can just copy and paste that.

Power is not a requirement if you can hit what you shoot at.

@VBR792 Hey I've looked at this rifle round called the 7.92x33 kruz and according to this book its overall length is about 1.6 inches smaller than some magnum rounds in the Desert Eagle, I've never held the 7.92x33 and the Wikipedia site states that its overall length is 1.9 inches what I'm getting at is maybe you can test it out as a pistol round if its length really is 1.6 inches.
The 7.92x24 mm caliber is made for weaker persons or for weapons which need a low recoil for better accuracy. If you consider a 1911 in the .45 caliber as a perfectly good weapon?...then you are not a physical weak person!!! The 7.92x24 mm is special suitable for young recruits for a military or police academy, skinny build women, small persons, senior shooters and wounded veterans
