Santa Monica to Venice Beach Bike Path

This is part of my way back home from work. It goes from the Santa Monica Pear until the borders between Santa Monica Beach and Venice Beach. The time is around 6h30PM. It's California, baby!!!

This is so awesome! Do you have a lot of near-accidents with pedestrians who aren't paying attention, rollerbladers, etc.? There's a moment in the vid when I thought you were gonna plow right into someone, but maybe it just appeared that way on camera.

lol, yes, there is a lot of near-accidents, all the time. In this video I don't recall almost hitting anyone, but it has happened before. Specially cause lots of pedestrians use the bike path (where it says Only Bikes) and pay no attention at all. But I guess this makes the ride more fun, right? :P

Is the camera mounted on the handlebar?

Yah, I am using the official Flip camera mount. It isn't the best solution ever, I had to improvise a little bit to make it steady, but it worked. I know there are some tutorials here at youtube to make your own mounts. Let me know if are interested in them so I can link you.

I don't know why people walk on a "bike path'. That is most annoying part of riding there. They are surprised that we get annoyed with them. At least stay to the side.

@951tony I just posted a video made with the camera resting on the handlebar on some rubber foam . Rode the bike with one hand on the handlebar and the other hand holding the camera. The video is titled - 'Beach Bike Ride'.
