  • Well, Flag is a great place to go wandering, that's for sure.

  • This is one of my 'theme songs' - all with a similar theme: the open road.

  • You have such a beautiful slide show! I can tell you love nature as much as I do... and so, we share the same interest... How was it? have plans of hiking again... I'd like to share to you my video, too, you just might like it. Please search atreveteinc. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

  • The original song was written by Friedrich-Wilhelm Moller shortly after World War II. It is often mistaken for a German folk song (probably the one you stated), but it's actually an original composition. Moller's sister conducted a youth choir which performed it on BBC radio in 1953 and the song became a hit.

  • This is a wonderful video with a very appropriate soundtrack. It's been too long since I climbed Humphrey's Peak and Mount Elden. The song is, however, much older than you state. The German version, Mein Vater war ein Wandermann, was written in 1810.
