Mary Jane, of course, is Spider-Man's main squeeze. She's been around in Marvel Comics since 1966, first as best friend, then love interest, and in some threads as wife of Peter Parker, the mixed-up cat who does all the web-climbing. I have stripped several pictures out of my original collection to avoid making a video that was too long, but when the pictures were still all together it was interesting to see how the character was slowly developed from a plain (almost homely) girl-next-door to the sultry, sexy wench that she appears most often today. She was played in all the early movies by Kirsten Dunst, and an animated version appears regularly in the TV Spider-Man series. She's even had her own comics. The music is by Rick James, singing "Mary Jane."

Hmm, I wonder if Mary Jane should get super-powers one day? I'm not saying her powers should be better than those of Spider-Man mind you but back in the day she always seemed like a cop's wife, worrying about her husband not coming home after a patrol.
