i weigh 170 and im 5 "9, i was wondering if theirs a specific length and resistance i need on the band? like a a medium or high resistance?

@MrMoe3300 You would need the "light " band "monster mini" band or "mini" band depending on your strength level. Just get the normal length. I buy mine at elitefts. Worth buying because there are many uses for them.

Sorry if it's been answered, but usually these kinds of products are color-coded. I don't have sound on the computer so just wondering what tension this blue band is rated for? This guy looks like my twin (not just the great haircut) but size and build too...thanks for the help.

@phospodar The band is actual purple and is rated "light" band. They have changed the color since and its now orange.

Thanks very much for the info. Like I mentioned, the guy in the video looks like he could be my twin, and I've been working on bodyweight exercises like pull-ups and been frustrated (how can I deadlift over 400lbs and not pick myself up, right? LOL) but I wanted to get a band like this as I progress to full-body pullups....for now I am doing body-rows in my sumo rack and that's helping with form as well.
Thanks again!

@phospodar Just get some bands and keep working you will get there. i would get a "average", "light" and "mini" bands. Then 2x a week do pull ups. Lots of pull ups. The only way you will get good at pull ups is by doing them. Set a number to get and doing as many sets you have to do to get that number. Your goal should be to do it quicker and in less number of sets each time. Or do 10x6 reps and go until you get all reps on all sets then drop down to a band with less resistance and do the same.

@phospodar I remember using bands to get high reps at some point just because we never did them in high school. I guess you have to start somewhere. Check all our videos out on our homepage just click on gshinoskie
