A temple below the ground.. Rajanarayana vinnagar temple of the Chola period was found buried inside the earth. This is found near ulundhurpet, villupuram. The whole temple mandapa, statues, icons, stone inscriptions have been found underneath the ground. This discovery was made when the sivan temple is being renovated. The temple is believed to be in worship till the 16th Century. The villagers are eager to have it restored to its past glory. Will the government take steps to restore the legacy?
