he went on to become the neighbor of a little blonde boy named kevin....kevin was left alone once while his parents traveled on a vacation, kevin at first was afraid of walter but then found walter to be a normal guy, with a checkered past in his gaming world.....kevin encountered a home invasion by two thieves known as the wet bandits and was able to aloud them for some time but ultimately they took him, luckily walter was home and was able to save kevin....walter Day is a true american hero.

Walter Day did not pass away. He retired from Twin Galaxies to work on other pursuits but is still very much alive.

This is a video dedicated to the Walter Day I came to know as a gamer. The day he handed in his referee shirt was the day he passed away to the gaming community. Perhaps, much like the mythological Phoenix, a new Walter Day has spawned from the ashes of the one we loved, but just like a snake sheds its skin, Walter has shed himself of all gaming and evolved into something else. Is Walter Day dead? No, but has Walter "The Gameshistorian" Day passed away?
Yes, and he will be missed by us all.
