Scientists are trying to figure out how global warming is causing Greenland's glaciers to speed up on their way to the sea. As this ScienCentral News report explains, the leading suspect in this case has been cleared...mostly.

If we're looking in a period of global warming now. I want to know what happened to the ice age we were all going to experience back in the 70's???

Or is it that global warming is just a load of BS. We have the short seasons every year but there's plenty of evidence to show that average temperatures change over extended periods of time. Think of global "warming/cooling" as the big pappa of the yearly seasons.

Humans are just evil! Our greenhouse gasses have gotten so bad, they're causing the ice caps to melt on Mars! I don't remember hearing anything about Mars' global warming until we sent those SUVs up there. We're so environmentally irresponsible, we've recently lost a whole planet!! No wonder my mother wouldn't let me have a puppy.

The Perito Moreno is a glacier, used in Al Gore's carboneer propaganda flix an Inconvenient Truth, as receding because of global warming, when in fact is growing. THATS A BIG CHERRY GROWING GLACIER!

@SauronsEye i do understand what you are saying, but during all of earth's previous ice ages, the temperatures did rise but not because of high levels of carbon dioxide and methane in the air. But our current perdicament is the fact that we are releasing the carbon dioxide and methane that has been trapped in the earth for millions of years in our hope to get energy. the difference is that a temperature rise caused by high levels of these chemicals is much harder to reverse.

bring on a ice age it will benefit the earth cause 90% of humans will die then there wont be any arguing over whos causeing it if anyone is. humans fuck everything it touches in nature humans will cut down every tree in a rain forest just to make a quick buck humans over fish all the fish in our oceans just to make a quick buck. humans are destructive and need to be stoped and the only way to stop humans is to wipe the human race of the planet..............

Actually we are warming at a time when the natural cycle is to head into the next ice age.

We are causing the warming. We are also cooling the earth with Global Dimming so much that the warming effect might be twice as strong as we thought.

We are also well inot feedbacks. The Arctic is not as shiny white because of melt. The arctic/ sub arctic is releasing methane rapidly like rooting food from a defrosting freezer.

Oceans are reducing carbon absorbtion and ioncreasing CO2 release.
