Golf V GTI vs BMW E36 320

Golf V GTI Pirelli Edition (230 BHP) vs BMW E36 320 (M50B28 - I named so myself) - 246 BHP. BMW wheels spinning badly on the 1st and 2nd gears at the beginning of the 1st test. Second try is more successful. Cars are equal from the rolling start.

Don't post stupid comments like this is impossible to have such amount of power. Car has been dynoied and now it has even more BHP - 261 HP at the crankshaft.

The Golf is a way better car,especially the E30 - 230.. mine stays with a BMW 330 all the way to 150 mph .. hmm,& on the corners the Golf OWNs,eats the BMW alive.. & spits it out.. I've also owned 4 BMW's (only the last 2 shapes).. there's no doubt that they're beatifully designed cars,inside & out,but when it comes to getting a buzz on from handling,front end grip my E30 is in a different league completely...

I've a Mk.5 E30-230 (remapped to 250). Driving fast in a straight line is no test of any car's character - but down the country roads I keep with m8 in his STi,& smash my friend's R32.As for the Mk.3 & 4,these don't deserve to be called GTi's,or even a SE has they're so poor in all areas. Mk.1 &,Mk.2 loved them & ,Mk.5 & 6 - awesome cars; the best hot hatch has it's well owned throne back. The E30,only 1500 cars built gives more fun behind the wheel than cars with twice the bhp.One classic car
