I'm going to look in to getting one of these open cell suits. That would mean year round spearing for me here in rhode island. Thanks for the info!

I have a Henderson 7mm jacket and long johns that I layer with a 3mm hooded vest and 4mm gloves and socks. I don't think any of it is open cell. How can you tell?

@jtschid0910 - My best is 4:15 Mins - But I wasn't at my max. I'd say most people I dive with are anywhere between 1:30 - 5 mins. There are some exercises out there that build a resistance to CO2 and just gets your body used to hold breath. Wisconsin Speargun Hunters has a page on Facebook - with that information and a Table that helps. Check it out.

Sweet video! how long were you in the water before you got cold? and how thick is that suit?

We were in the water for about and hour and a half. usually our fingers or toes get cold not our bodies. The wetsuits are 5mil OPEN CELL. open cell interior is the key to staying warm.

you would need lube to put it on- it's like a rubber on the inside. almost impossible to put on without lube. not a neoprene material. I'm not sure if Henderson makes a OPEN CELL SUIT. OMER, ELIOS, HAMMERHEAD, SPETTON, BEUCHAT, SKIN DIVER are a few that make opencell
