Ridiculously nagging and insistent advert for the Nationwide Building Society from the nineties. The Dylan reference isn't entirely (or at all) accurate as it's really a takeoff of I've Been Everywhere, but I just couldn't resist the title. Also people looking for Dylan will now find this file, boosting my self-esteem very slightly.

Apparently it's from 1992. The song is composed by Hart & Campbell (also responsible for LWT's 1994 jingle and the fantastic theme from Rockcliffe's Babies) and sung by Bob Saker with Stephanie de Sykes and the legendary Clare Torry backing him up. Via T-Shirt Heaven.

  • the singers on this ad. are Bob Saker, Stephanie De Sykes and Clare Torry. It was written by Joe Campbell and Paul Hart, who incidently write the music for Waking The Dead !

  • Clare Torry? Really? If that's the case, god damn, she gets around.

  • do you have the Cajun one I loves that one the one that mentions Ramsgate

  • I think I have the one you mean. Should be on the right pane there. "Subterranean Business' Blues"

  • So close... thanks for putting this up but I'm looking for the 1997-98 one that begins 'Double glazing...'

  • First saw this in 1998 so assumed it was from then. Never knew it was 6 years old though, although it'd probably make sense given the typically early-'90s-advert grainy image, plus the distinct lack of PVC windows and doors on the houses...

  • Fantastic!!!

  • Do you have a nice view? Letsby Avenue!!

  • can anyone tell me how long did it take make the advert,

  • sorry - 1992.....

  • It was 1993 because I am the paperboy, I was still at high school and it was my first tv acting job!

This advert was filmed in Chinner on a blazing hot day! So there.....

  • This film was called Home Sweet Home and aired in 1992 and 1993.
