@DumpComedy Because Walter Jones, who originally auditioned for and got the part of Billy, changed his mind and decided he'd rather be the wise badass second-in-command instead of the brainy nerd. It just so happened that said role's Ranger costume was black. As for Trini, the original actress Audri DuBois had scheduling conflicts and the best candidate out of all those who auditioned to replace her happened to be the half-Vietnamese Thuy Trang.

They can all end up with that gap due to molding problems. Protip: Kimberly should be holding the bow in her left hand. She's right-handed, so she would draw the bow with her right hand, not hold it.
