I love this song but I hate it when people mention the violin. With just the violin it would be totally empty. The CELLO makes it complete. Just like in the vocals, it's the lower pitch that dominates.
It's a soft, delicate, vulnerable song. And just purely beautiful. The fact that the lead vocal is male is what makes that part powerful. Same with the strings.
