Minutes of Terror." News of Curiosity's safe touchdown following the 13-thousand-to-zero-mile-an-hour descent to the Red Planet's surface brought elation and high-fives all around. Curiosity begins a two-year investigation of whether Mars is or ever was capable of supporting
microbial life.

    It's likely that at least one person will dislike the video, and this is for several reasons. Maybe they're think this video is fake, they happen to press it by accident, or they are simply bored of it (there are already many videos about space, both fiction and non-fiction).

    However the amount of likes have sheerly outweighed the number of dislikes, which means that you are most likely to be right. And IMO, it is one of the remarkable accomplishments we have seen so far.

    1. US landed on the moon on July 20, 1969

    2. US hasn't gone to the moon since Apollo missions ended because the government hasn't given NASA enough money to do so. In 1967-69, NASA's funding comprised 3-5% of the total US budget (~35-40 billion USD, if adjusted for inflation), while today NASA gets less than 0.5% (17 billion for 2012). That's not to mention that in '69, NASA didn't have to maintain the ISS (2-3 billion USD a year).

    if usa sent moon Space Shuttle in 1967,why cant be able to send now in 2012 with tecnology 1000 times better, send your president barac obama and hilary clinton for holiday, if they cant get visa i promise you , i call them to let them to land :))

    it seems cameras there were waiting for usa Space Shuttle, and falloving it, till its landing and fallowing all around,filming , usa Space Shuttle for wellcoming :)))
