Coffee cake:
Egg yolk 100g + sugar 40g
Egg white 200g + sugar 70g +1g salt
Coffee 8g + hot water 55g
Cake flour 90g + baking powder 2g
Oil 55g

Coffee Cream:
40g Shortening,
Heavy whip cream about one cup
Sugar powder 25g
Butter 75g

*Preheat 375, bake for 9 mins

*After taking the cake out, let it cool down (it takes for about 45mins - 1 hour), just depends....then use the new parchment paper to cover up. Then you flip to the other side, then it is the side that u put the cream on
Please try at home, very easy to make. = )

  • just got into baking so this might be a silly question...is cake flour just normal flour? and as for the baking powder.. is that self raising flour? sorry i'm still learning =p

  • @squitsynae Not to worry to ask me questions. haha...i m using "cake flour", u can get it from any markets, even "walmart or target". = ) Baking powder is just baking powder, is different from self raising flour. They come in a small container. U can get that from the "cake making" section (such as flour, sugar....section inside any markets).

  • Do you mind including the speed(s) of which the beater was operating at(high/med/low) as well as how long you took to whisk the eggs?

  • @FRIXES Usually when i start whipping the egg whites, i use high speed like "6 or 7", until it is almost done, i will go down to speed "3 or 4", that will have less air and the result of the foam making is even better. Pls try and let me know.

  • what's the purpose of adding salt to the egg white?

  • @letitiajustin07 it helps to be foamed easily.
