@elchicoboy Good eye, it is made from plastic!
-
lol the side left front panel looks like it was made from plastic....
-
What is the front fender made of? I have seen them bend, but this one broke down, is it plastic?

@bobscoodles They are standard in this vehicle (and even in the previous generation convertible), but convertibles usually do not have side curtain air bags, so on most models they do not deploy in a frontal crash. Curtain airbags generally deploy in frontal crashes to prevent the head from impacting the B pillar. There is no B pillar to hit in this case.

@thefutureboom With the way convertible side air bags are designed (Generally, they are not curtain airbags), I don't think they would help too much with the head hitting B pillars anyway. Or perhaps the vehicle's computer did not deploy them based on this particular crash. You can see on the audi A4 2002-2005 model's crash test that the side air bags deploy only on the driver's side and not the passenger side based on the crash's trajectory.

@Streetracingpunk72 omg is that all.
You do 40mph in a BMW and it feels like 5 mph. So if i was to hit a wall at that speed, it would be a write off. Dam.
-
