Learn what fitness coach, John Sifferman, feeds his dog to keep him growing healthy, happy, strong, and to keep him intelligent and alert. Traditional dog kibble is not as healthy as we once thought, and is a major contributor to the many health problems facing our animals today (just like industrialized food for people, too, eh?). If you want to feed your dog the best, then check out this quick and simple recipe that can be prepared in 30 minutes or less (for a week's supply of food), and doesn't cost much more than premium kibble.

Ronin is an 8 month old purebred Akita (long coat).

  • cool. I feed my dog instinct, evo, core, and some others. I rotate them. what do u think about those?

  • I don't know anything about them actually.

  • what type of kibble do u feed em

  • we feed him Timberwolf, but I just heard that they changed the ingredients, so I'll have to look into it to see if we'll stay with this brand.

  • i don`t think garlic is good for dogs actually. but homemade dog food is a great idea. i try to cook for my dog too.

  • I make homemade food for my dog I am going to try this meal but with a little less garlic, and that dog is so cute!

  • Evo is the closest dry kibble to a raw diet. We feed our dogs it, they love.

  • wow thank you so much! ill make this tomorrow :D

  • garlic creates anemia or something similar to that name doesnt it?

  • Great video - the question I have is the quantity to feed my dogs. I have a rotti that needs to lose weight and is not happy with measured kibble (I wouldn't be either!) I have been feeding her a mix of brown rice, cooked meat (chicken or beef) and veggies (mostly carrots) for dinner with kibble in morning but don't know how much to feed to get her weight down

  • @johnsifferman you ever thought about feeding raw food, like raw meat to your dog.

  • garlic is not good for dogs

  • dont use too much garlic

  • ok ive now seen a lot of homemade dog food videos and im really confused! some say give them raw meat as it keeps the ingredients, others say no, some say no garlic, others yes. as your dog looks really healthy i'd really like to hear what you think. thanks
