Reading this stuff makes me wonder if the mouthy people actually fish. these guys are out having a bunch of fun hunting some nice northerns. It is definately appropriate to have the gear to handle the species you are after but he did a pretty decent job fighting the fish and keeping the line from snapping on the boat from what I saw. I have been a guide for Canada's largest northerns for 11 years. Nice fish dude. Looked like fun.

The fact this guy has 1,000,000,000 pound test on his line show's he isn't a serious fisherman. the fish is pulling the boat, full tight drag on?... really..on a bass 5'6 rod??? These guys are a joke.

@CriminalTruth That's a 6'6" medium action flats fishing rod and a Shimano Curado real with no more than 12 pound test on it (although I'm sure we were using steel leader). Thank you for your super-insightful post though.
