as a nova scotian now living elsewhere, this song still brings me back to the dark dreary mountains edging up against the sea that i grew up in. blue nose pride, always.

I'm from Nova scotia so I happen to know this. This song is a traditional sea shanty that a women named Helen Creighten made famous after she collected sea songs for a book she compiled in the 1930s.
