Tom and Jerry were fictional characters that starred in a series of early sound cartoons produced by the Van Beuren Studios. The series lasted from 1931 to 1933. When Official Films purchased the Van Beuren library in the 1950s, the characters were renamed Dick and Larry to avoid confusion with the famous cat and mouse team of the same name. Today, animation historians refer to the characters as Van Beuren's Tom and Jerry.

I'm not sure if the fact that this doesn't bother me means that I'm used to/ignore racism, or that I've just been educated about history enough that I'm aware of the different social conditions in which cartoons like this were made...
On another note: those skeletons were pretty cool.

by using the current sentiments found in society of FUCKING 1932. I mean jesus, before posting some shit like that in the comments remember what the world was like at the time this was made. Trying to forget about stuff like this or just dismiss it as racist is idiotic and ignorant. This stuff happened, it was around...lets not repeat it, but lets DEFINITELY not forget it. I'll spare everyone the cliche about why remember history is important, but it applies perfectly here.
