  • Quite honestly, it is Al's compositions that make him great, along with four star performances.

  • Awesome vid!!

  • I agree with you. His amazing technique and rhythmic sensibilities are what make his songs interesting. If he played without the same technique they would be boring.

  • If someone was not a great composer i guess they would only have like 3 albums at best. Dude.. he has a amazing understanding of composing and arrangement.

  • he is not a great composer but who cares? he is a great example of how to work seriously the guitar and it is enought to me

  • He's a solid composer but you can hear his influences. You can really hear some Pat Metheny influence from back in the late 80's. At the same time, he does have some really fresh compositional ideas. His picking is amazing, especially on chords. For equally impressive picking check out Steve Morse 'Tumeni Notes' and 'The Bash'

  • Al is an amazing composer in my book.

  • the problem with al is that is nota great composer but this alternat picking technique is remarkable

  • haha chill out bro, who gives a damn about speed or perfection if it sounds good its cool/. btw fuck malmsteen :P if you wanna see someone play perfect guitar check out john williams

  • Its difficould to play like him, he plays real good and in the dark as well :-D
