  • Where is Joe satriani?!!

  • Playing fast can be good and technical, but tone and sustain mean alot as well. I had the priveledge of seeing Stevie Ray when he was still alive and he was great. Eddie Van Halen when he was young and hungry was phenomnal live as well. Vai, Zakk are great no question. Most of these guys have been around for a good long while. A lot of the best young guitarist now are from Europe and Japan like Jani Liimatainen, Syu, Gentaro Satomura, Takayoshi Ohmura, etc.

  • Where is Buckethead????

  • i hate fast guitar, sounds like garbage

Slash all the way. He's an icon.

  • No one mentioned Brian Setzer, he's a master! And I agree with 25liam52, playing fast is playing fast, not necessarily playing best. Brian Setzer, Eric Clapton, BB King, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Slash, Eddie Van Halen, Andres Segovia (Flamenco), Tonino Baliardo (Gipsy Kings), these are my favorites.

  • I vote for Chuck Shuildner,Michael Angelo Batio,Jeff Waters, J Macis, Jerry Cantrell, Les Paul, Toni Iommi, Buckethead, and Jake E Lee

  • Kurt Cobain sucks Jerry Cantrell and J mascis blow him out the water

  • for the skills i will vote Malmsteen , but for the music/melodi i will vote Steve Vai , these 2 are ( in may opinion ) the best

  • Slash-yes

    Angus young- no way!

  • Where's Bernie Leadon?
