"We Got The Beat," was the opening song for a classic movie...Fast Times at Ridgemont High! It was one of those 80's "for sure" classics of the day! Who could forget Sean Penn as the surfer dude! The Go-Go's DEF., left their mark on a LOT of us. We have seen the chicks through the years and they STILL have the sound AND the "beat" for sure:)

@wimpyliberalbuster32 Go-to argument here. This artist used auto tune and has no right to "ruin" this song the way they did *insert success of song in question*. Firstly, so many auto tune using stars have landed their place on Rolling Stones list that changed whatever. Secondly, it's the people who have ruined their songs with autotune that gave it such a bad name! Also what do you think the majority of The GoGo's songs are? Yes, teen girly pop-rock bubblegum factory songs.

@XxpandasluvxX She didn't steal the song nor did she do a bad job at it. She covered it for the movie she was in because she was asked to do it like most stars and honestly it sounds great.

Not better than the original (It's usually VERY difficult to cover a great song, especially when it's a hit) but it's good regardless.
