@Zennofobic but it did shut her up... 1st time a telemarketer was eager to hang up on the customer instead of the other way around, I gave her a piece of my mind for sure.

@szlagjasny yea it's funny how the 1 negative review I've ever received from an unreasonable customer keeps showing up on my Yelp page and it's from a 1 time poster with no profile - kind of the sort of thing that the Yelp filter is SUPPOSED to filter out. Yet I have reviews from regular Yelp reviewers that are filtered out instead.. but go check the reviews they've made for PAYING businesses and those show up. Last time a Yelp rep called me I asked her about that and she had NO answer
-
no the yelp people do what they want ,
and they will remove " fillter" the positive reviews to preassure bussiness owner to buy adds, it is modern day extortion ,
-
same shit happens to my bussiness
they put all real custumers reviews into filltered
I will not , I repeat I will not give them a penny
they screw me , then they put a pushy salesman on phone trying to convince me how much business I get from them , and like I owe them
BIG YELPING BS
I am giving yelp 0 stars - a real review

Yelp sucks. Period.

@jmacmedia if Yelp "filtered them out" how did you come up with the number 75%? Does Yelp tell the businesses which reviews they filter out and which ones they post?
-
Yelp filtered 75% of the 5-star reviews about Image Perfection, a small big-screen TV repair business in the SF Bay Area. As someone who helps the owner with the admin facets of the biz, I know the reviews were written by real customers - I spoke with them when they called about the problems their TV's were having. Yelp does an injustice to this and other small-business owners whose clientele have nothing but good things to say about them. It also does a disservice to those who read its reviews.
I own a small business that was put up on Yelp by the well meaning of a client. Since then, Yelp sales reps have been calling me incessantly about paying for advertising and each time I refuse my reviews get filtered out. I've also been approached by Yelp "elite" users offering to do reviews for me for money. My business has spread from word of mouth for 8 years and I don't need Yelp whatsoever so they can kiss my ass. I don't even tell my clients about Yelp, if one of them wants to post ok.
