Freaky Math Mind Reader Trick

came across this cool "mind reader" on a site sometime back that uses math to predict the symbol you'll choose. enjoy the instructions are below; watch the video for the rest.

Instructions:
Choose any two digit number, add together both digits then subtract the total from your original number. When you have the final number look it up on the char tand find the relevant symbol. Concentrate on the symbol and when you have it clearly in your mind the video will show you the symbol you're thinking of....
for example if you choose 23: 2+3=5. 23 minus 5 is 18 focus on the symbol next to 18 and the video will show you the symbol you were thinking of. freaky huh? i know.

what if i chose 10... ok so i would end up with 1+0= 1, then i subtract 4= -3. Now where is the symbol for -3?

@ernispel you got is wrong. it's 1+0 = 1 subtract the answer "1" from the two digit number you picked 10 and the answer is 9 find the corresponding symbol that has 9 next to it. I think you were trying to be a smart ass but failed to follow the simple instructions.

Whenever you add any two digit number you will get either of these numbers: (0,9,18,27,36,45,54.....) That is all number whose addition of digits is nine. (eg. 2+7=9)

if you ook, every thing is fixed so that you always land on something divisible by 9. everything divisible by 9 has the same symbol, even on both charts.

ok settle down people the trick is that no matter what number u chose its gonna subtract out to be a multiple of 9... so pause the video at the chart and u will notice that 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81 all have the same symbol.
