8 years later and I still feel so bad for him he was robbed of a gold medal by that little attention whore. I'm glad he still got the bronze and was the first Brazilian to win a medal in that event but he absolutely deserved the gold

I remember watching this. This guy just broke out into a huge lead and was breaking away and this dirtbag did this. that so heartless, this was a once in a lifetime situation, he probably trained years for that one day and when he was pulling it off someone had to go fuck up his one and only shot. Very cruel knowing how much that had to take

@gumshiel It's a joke laddie. Anyone Irish would understand. Usually when it's someone famous, the English like to claim famous Irish men sometimes as been British. Usually when it's an Infamous Irishman,the English are very quick to point this out. Richard Harris tells a funny story about this phenomena that is a very British habit.
