Footage at Calder Raceway Melbourne Vic Australia of the V8 Giocattolo based on Alfa Romeo Sprint. Except it is a Holden V8 rear mounted.

  • @PaulieLDP The motor was mid mounted, and the whole rear cradle was designed by an ex F1 designer, so in theory it should be good, but then again, communism works in theory! The QLD police were evaluating the Giocattolo as Police interceptors back in the day, but they decided against them, due to concerns about front end lift at high speeds (I think it was more to do with their budget, personally). Great car, I nearly bought one (002) from Shannon's in Melbourne, wish I had!!!

  • I saw one of these at QLD Raceway the other day, a white one! Absolutely bonkers car, only us Aussies would make something like it lol. Not sure if I'd drive it though, not around corners anyway, sounds a little bit deadly to have an iron block V8 mounted behind the rear wheels.;-)
