@trvwatson WOW! Youalmost resonate with how I feel..I would extend it until 1993-94..to be absolutely fair! LOL. The Golden Age Of R&B was in my opinion, from 1977-92.

Kashif was the F#@king MAN folks! You hear very little about him these days but remember the 80's? Kashif was the ultimate producer. He was a sizzling HOT property! Please pay homage to greatness!

When Nashville, Tennessee finally got a Urban/ R & B Station in the fall of 1982, I hear this song on WQQK/92Q. About 8 years later, I was working at the station, playing this song on the "Quiet Storm". It was a Pop Hit at College Radio Station WVCP-FM 88.5 in Nashville at the time it was released. This song crossed over from the R & B Charts to the Pop/Adult Charts. These days, I haven't heard Melba do any more R & B/Pop Songs. Kashif knew how to make a hit.

I Love this Song!!!!!!!!!!!!

ARCHIE THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR POSTINGS. THIS KIND OF MUSIC MAKES ME SOAR INTO A GOSPEL FRENZY. MELBA IS SO UNDERRATED AND CAN SING HER FACE OFF. THE BUBBLE GUM MUSIC OF TODAY MAKES MY HEAD POP AND SWIM...LOL. BLESSINGS ALWAYS!
