Dismal? I find the music peaceful and full of the beauty of the earth and comforting and makes me think of all the brothers and sisters of the earth and soft flow of the waters and call of the wind.

the calmness of the night slowly coming to dawn is the most peaceful time in all the universe that any one can expierence on this earth !!!!

I had one of my subscribers ask me why my playing of the Native American flute and any others that he has heard sounds so sad. Does this sound sad? I said! It sounds beautiful and it makes me feel that everything is good. Relax and listen you will feel good.

Could I ask what type of flute this was used for this song? It doesn't sound like the garden variety end-blown Native American style flute - sounds more side or rim blown. Thanks!

I'm very happy for you and your husband! It makes me happy to know you all enjoy sharing this music and our culture with others. But don't be sad. Many things we once knew as a people and as individual tribes are lost, we can't help that. But what is there can still grow into something beautiful.
Share what you know, learn what you can, and remember it. With that, we will never be lost =)
