I downloaded this video from the now defunct Google Video and uploaded here so it's archived and isn't lost after Google Video deletes all it's content. Original description bellow:

This is a presentation on science, religion, and how poorly-designed humans, the Earth, and the universe really are. The presenter, Neil deGrasse Tyson, is the new host of the PBS-TV program "NOVA scienceNOW", director of the Hayden Planetarium in the Rose Center For Earth and Space at the American Museum of Natural History. He is the recipient of seven honorary doctorates and the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal.

This guy is freaking awesome XD However, he does use a somewhat distorted view of scientific history to support his claims. In modern society I don't think we have any immediate danger of a scientific fallout due to any one scientist "giving up" and pinning it on Intelligent Design, lol.

Most of the religious opposition to modern controversial science is based on morals; you know-- "is it right or wrong to utilize stem cells?" and such. Morals don't necessarily indicate religious belief .u.

Correct, my point was that Newton did not base his theology on the same stringent standard of evidence that he applied to his theories of the properties of mass. I'm glad that you agree. I never said it didn't exist. I said it existed for bad reasons.

I can call you the same diss three (or more) times if needed, regardless of whether or not you applied the same diss to me. What point are you trying to make?

A polite and compelling commentary. I have the impression earthly viruses are about the same as alien self-replicating nanotechnology. And now we are dabbling in ways to engineer them to serve us. Personally, I think Dr. Tyson is taking a glass half-empty position overall, and possibly antagonizing his colleagues in the Philosophy Department.

You were discussing if Einstein was a Christian. We weren't dealing with what was proof based at that point, just beliefs at all. Newton's belief in intelligent design wasn't proof based, and I never said it was. But it existed, and that's what I was pointing out. And you can't call someone the same dis three times in a row, especially after just having been called it yourself.

Really? REALLY? Fuck you, too. Grow up and stop sucking denial's dick. YOU ARE NOT RESPONDING WITH ANY LOGIC. I gave no opinion. It is simply a matter of fact that people cannot prove or disprove the existence of the metaphysical - by definition. I get your 'point' and responded with logic. Now I can't tell if you got my point or not because you didn't even respond. Nonetheless, holier-than-thou bullshit. Good job, you actually got me riled kiddo.
