Officer Lee Kibbee - Olathe, Kansas Police Department

Be careful. In Olathe, Kansas at least one cop tickets you for simply driving. I'm sure the Olathe P.D. has many decent cops, but this idiot gave me a ticket for being almost 100 ft. behind the car in front of me. Thank goodness for honest judges. The not guilty verdict was a no-brainer. If it's one thing I hate the most, it's cops, that are paid to serve and protect, that harass the very people that pay their salaries. Unbelievable. Not only did this guy give me a ticket (I'm from out of state) for being almost 100 ft. behind the car in front of me, he seized me for almost a half hour and had a back-up police officer come and interrogate me along side the road because he felt I stole my rental car...even after I gave him my rental paperwork and license. The most incompetent, inhumane, indiscriminate cop I have ever run into in my life. I pray for all of you that live in Olathe, Kansas.

Just because a judge let him off, he aparently did not understand the seriousness of following too close, especially at .97 seconds behind another car that could have been going at least 50 miles per hour. More accidents are caused by following too closely on highway. Speeding is not the only traffic infraction. I have dealt with Officer Kibbee also. He is professional and knowledgeable. I'm sure he's not perfect, but closer than you. I was going to stay professional, but too bad he didn't kick your a-- because he damn well could. Olathe has a great traffic unit.
