  • tubeyou9878, keep in mind the weight you want to carry and the weight of the boat. Having someone up front would help with either motor if your boat is very light.

  • would you be able to mount an 18 hp briggs on a 1248 boat. I think if you had someone in the front of the boat it would work.?

  • @tubeyou9878 Thats alot of motor for a 1248. The 12 hp would probably be a better fit, depending on what the boat weighs and what kind of load you'll be carrying.

  • I saw a 13 on a 12/36 foot baot and it did good. If I had someone in the front I think it would work.

  • The 18 HP is $3895 that comes standard with electric start, pull start and remote fuel. Copperheads are manufactured in Covington LA
