I saw a 13 on a 12/36 foot baot and it did good. If I had someone in the front I think it would work.

The 18 HP is $3895 that comes standard with electric start, pull start and remote fuel. Copperheads are manufactured in Covington LA

tubeyou9878, keep in mind the weight you want to carry and the weight of the boat. Having someone up front would help with either motor if your boat is very light.

would you be able to mount an 18 hp briggs on a 1248 boat. I think if you had someone in the front of the boat it would work.?

@tubeyou9878 Thats alot of motor for a 1248. The 12 hp would probably be a better fit, depending on what the boat weighs and what kind of load you'll be carrying.
