Not if you only want to spend $100 for power that is equivalent to most 4S brushless system and still have the truck water proof.

Isn't it better to just drop in a single 1/8 scale brushless motor? More power, better runtimes, will handle up to 6S lipo, etc...

The 970's show a bity more power to the naked eye.
