This is a video of photos and a short video clip when me (Bill Wolverton) and some friends of mine were visiting the RMS Queen Mary (The old Queen Mary) ocean liner at Long Beach, California on November 9th, 2007. Part of the ship has been converted to a floating hotel and has been docked in Long Beach, Ca. since 1967. The photos I took are of the outside and some of the inside spaces on board the ship and I included a short video clip I took on the promenade deck of a bag piper playing at some wedding event. The engine room area was closed the day I took this video, so, I have no photos or videos of that. The next time I visit the ship, I hope to take more videos. I took over 275 photos of the ship that you can view at http://travel.webshots.com/album/561420791wCuAmQ
and my home page is at http://www.ki7f.com (Under construction) I also have a MySpace Page at http://www.myspace.com/ki7f

o yea the Olympic would have been a great preserved ship, and would have attracted alot of visitors due to its history and for the fans of Titanic

  • A grand old lady and a true OCEAN LINER. The newer cruise ships may be bigger but they cannot imitate the grandeur and elegance of a true liner. The Queen Mary and the Titanic will always be bigger in human memory than any of these newer overstacked Clorox bottles putting to sea today.

  • large ship, even to todays standars.

  • I've lived in LB for 17 years and I still haven't visited the Queen Mary. I must go.

  • The Promenade Deck of the Queen Mary. I walk those decks, had lunch aboard this ship. Queen Mary is a Gorgeous Liner. Queen Mary is a tribute to the era of Great Ocean Liners.

  • The Bagpiper is David Ibbotson

  • The Bagpiper's name is David Ibbotson he lives in Bellflower, Caifornia. His web is bagpiper.us

  • i whent on this 2 days ago !!!!!! it was awsome haha :D

  • I just visited Queen Mary today. She is a great ship.

  • Why do the British sell their finest ships abroad to Americans or Dubai like the QE2 was taken to be a top star hotel too?
