@madjanssen I can't speak for all of us, but it's just a great story with a lot of pro-femininity weight behind it. And me, along with the other gay guys I know, really love that about it.
Plus Brad Pitt shirtless helps.

@dunderklumpen1979 They just do.Well I know a lot of people like this movie but I have been all over and Thelma and Louise is favored quite a lot .I would think its the special friendship and the love they have for each other..some because of Brad Pitt.

@Popo111603 - I don't know if there is any other version. This is the only one I have on the official soundtrack CD I bought. I would be interested to hear another version too.

are you sure that the title of this track is thunderbird?because i have the soundtrack cd e when i put thunderbird i listen the track when louise puts her gloss while thelma makes the thief inthe market..i'm finding the track..help me

Yes Camy, the title is Thunderbird and they use extracts of it thruout the whole movie. I remember this by hard since I've loved this movie all this time. I have the soundtrack, DVD and poster.
