Haunted A Jonas Horror Story (Chapter 84)

AN: I very rarely complain about number of comments because I know I sometimes take a while to post but I hardly get any anymore. Most times I push to get 5 to a chapter which isnt that many as there are about 217 of you subscribed to me. I don't want to moan but your comments really do help me to write because its a lot easier to find time to write a story that I know both you guys and I enjoy but writing a story that no one comments on is hard it gives me no inspiration to write.
Sorry for the rant forgive me :D

Nick's p.o.v

The trees rocked back and forth, the branches twisting and turning in the darkness. The flickering street lamp beside them caused their shadows to grow and move as if them to were alive with the movement of the cold bitter wind. As it passed through the tiny sealing gaps of where the car door met the rest of the body work it created a high pitched whistling noise. I closed my eyes trying to shake the image of high pitched screaming from forming.
It was late September now and the weather showed every trace of the season of which was rapidly approaching. Winter had always been a time of celebration in my eyes yet now the season only seemed to fit perfectly with the ever surrounding mood. Bleak, cold and dark, everything that winter seemed now. Rain howled with the wind making it seem heavier then reality as it clashed against the sides of the car, battling against the windscreen. The rain obscured the view creating just a blur of darkness and dull artificial light from nearby stores and street lamps.

The temperature had fallen once more. My fingers griped the keys turning them setting the ignition alight. With no engine on the heaters had turned off and the weather had overtaken the warmth. The engine took a moment before rumbling to life. It battle for a while before falling to a gently hum just visible over the noise of the continuously weather outside. My fingertips slipped along the rubber of the steering wheel as my pointer finger stuck out to flick the windscreen wipers on. With hesitation they started spreading the fallen salty water across the window blurring the image further before retreating with it once more clearing the view for a few precious seconds. Just like before in those few seconds my world changed completely.

Directly opposite sat the diner. Its low glowing artificial lighting shun out like a beacon in the submerging darkness. Through their windows and my own not much was visible but it was enough and plenty more. Even through the two layers of glass, the 30 meters distance, and torrential rain and weather I could still find her. She had her hair up today she always did whenever the weather was like this. She always used to complain about the fluff her hair would become if it ever was to get wet. It used to make me smile and through the darkness it still did. Frizzy hair, makeup or not she was always beautiful. Nothing could dampen her light in my eyes not even the events in the forest not even the argument before. Yet she didn't know this and that was the reason why I was still sat in the drivers seat of my car just observing her because it really was her, I had found my Melody and I could hardly believe it. My breath hammered as I watched her blurred image elegantly move back and forth across the diner always working. It wasn't the first time I had been sat here watching her. Every night six a clock, prime business time for the diner I drove my car parked it in the furthest parking spot from the diner itself and just watched.

My heart buzzed and my blood drove madly but still I couldn't work up the courage needed to enter the diner to come face to face with her. I had made it out the car a few times but never more than a few steps away before I was back in the car once more. I was scared. I didn't know what to except when I walked through that door and that scared me. I didn't know why Mel had chosen not to see me and Chloe. Was it because she was nervous to? Or was it for the pure reason she just didnt want to? I didn't know if I could walk into that diner after finding her to lose her once again. In some ways just sitting here watching her from a distance was safer. Here I still had hope for a happy ending at the end of all of this. Once more I didn't know what the ending would be and I was prettified.

Q. have you ever been on the other side of a waterfall?
A. yes! But it was a man made one in a water land park so I don't know if it counts lol :P
