@22hec44 Yeah, musicians have more of an opportunity to record & get their stuff out there on an international level today. But it's easier for us to listen to what is immediately available rather than sort through the massive amount of music that's out there. I know I'm guilty of it just because it does take time and some money. In the end it is worth it. I've found songs that really move me & it's also easier to make a personal connection with the artist as well. It's nice to support them :)

If you want to listen to good music from this "generation" go find it. There are plenty of great artists trying to kick start their career, but they don't have enough of a fan base to make it. If you don't like the music that fills up the media, don't listen to it. Put in a little effort instead of relying on what's spoon fed to you. Go on forums and ask around about the kind of music you like. In this day and age no one has an excuse for not finding something.
