In this session at the 2011 Social Enterprise Conference, leaders in the arts field discussed how technology has broadened the reach of the arts and how these organizations are changing methods to inform, educate, and thrive in this increasingly networked world.

Moderated by Damian Bazadona, founder of Situation Interactive, speakers included Jennifer Gootman, executive director of Global Goods Partners; David Holbrooke, festival director of Mountainfilm; Marc Kirschner '02, founder and general manager of TenduTV; and Nella Vera, director of marketing at The Public Theater.

  • I wanted to say I live in Portland, Oregon and theater is fairly popular here. They have so much free theater during the summer and fall. We do have free Shakespear in the park. We actually have a few companies that show theater for free. I don't know how they afford it. I just am a fellow free loader who enjoy watching it. We also have free symphony concerts in the park in the summer.
