Just plan and build your own. That's all the fun.

Very cool machine. If the cutting tool was a bit shorter there would be much less tool chatter. Very nice router!

In answer to your question. These are known by different names depending on the manufacturer.

The most common is "TSLOTS". They come in sizes that can be useful for just about any project. You can find them at "tslots.com"

You will find that the actual extruded aluminum is quite affordable but the fasteners to put it all together will in most cases, cost more than the aluminum.

Hi David. I have a question for U about this machine. Where did U bought all those aluminium modular profiles, are they expensive ? And if You can just tell me what is the size of those two "main" profiles on X axis ( stepper are mounted by side on them ) ? Thanks and cheers man! Wonderful job and awesome cnc !

I love this comment :) It's so cool to see machines evolve like that... I'm in the process of ordering parts for my first build so I've been doing a lot of research. How about a few questions... What power rating / RPM is that spindle? Can this machine handle Aluminum? Are you using the lead screws with Delrin Acme nuts or ball screws/nuts?

    Thanks! Nice vid :)

how big was your first machine?

would a 12"x12" cnc be of any help making the pieces?

That's cool. I want to do the same, make a barely functional machine, and then have it fabricate its own replacement parts. C3PO, "Machines making machines, how perverse."
