  • Hi, Do you need a concrete slab ?

  • @ddietr No, we just use 3/4" gravel for the base and compact it. However you need to make sure you compact it with the proper equipment. For some people pouring a concrete slab is easier and it works just the same.

  • Those lifting tools are great. Is it probst? You need a bigger dead blow hammer :)

I'm working with stones too btw. The steps looks nice, good job.

  • @thequattro20v Thanks for the complement! Yea the grabber is made by probst, its a great tool. Yea i could have used a bigger hammer. Haha, the granite just didn't like me that day.

  • we put in about 30 sets of these granite steps a year, did the math and homework, always cheaper in the longrun to pour a slab 2 tubes in the front and pinned into the foundation in the rear, 1/3 faster and never ever a call back, and no need for a bigger hammer j/k, whats your motto again, right tool - right process
