Chinese Leader Visits Russia for Strategic Partnership Talks

Chinese leader Hu Jintao arrived in Russia this week. He had just wrapped up a visit to Kazakhstan. The Chinese and Russian leaders are meeting for the second time this year.

Chinese leader Hu Jintao arrived in Russia on Wednesday for a state visit—and talks with Russian leaders.

The talks are about a variety of strategic partnerships.

In particular, they had been keen to settle a major deal that would have Russia supply natural gas to China for the next 30 years. But as of Thursday night, they were not able to finalize the agreement. They still can't agree on the price.

The Chinese and Russian leaders are also discussing other matters of mutual interest.

On Thursday, they issued a joint statement supporting nuclear enrichment programs in Iran and North Korea. The U.S. opposes those programs.

2011 marks the 15th anniversary of the formation of the China-Russia strategic and cooperative partnership.

Hu is scheduled to visit St. Petersburg on Friday for Russia's top financial forum, which many global business leaders will attend.

Both China & Russia do not play dirty game to intervine other nation, both has been experianced victim by war moingering nation, they signed strategic treaty last year, none of them has 16 wars history.

SCO is more a friendy understanding of eachother in economical and military terms,

If China for example goes to war with the US or with one of its neighboring country's, Neither Russia or other SCO members wil not join China in this.
