I'm issuing a challenge to all anti-gay rights proponents and homophobes alike. How does a couple of gay people getting married REALLY affect your life?

  • At 3:33 "I want you to tell me seculary, without using God, without using the Bible..."

That's taking the position that your beliefs are mainstream, and those who believe in God and the Bible are wrong.

In reality, you're not genuinly interested. :)

  • @Tsuruta1 No, that's actually me asking you to give me a reason being gay is wrong without using the ultimate crutch - religion.

  • Question, how come gays can say that they were born that way and it feels right and therefore is right by them but anti-gays can't say that it is legitimate because it feels wrong and always has been to them? Who decides who's feelings are more correct? They also force the concept that because they feel this way they can fight and force down throats all they want while the other group has no right to defend the status quo and their beliefs. Major double standard!

  • @MrChamp51 Because they deserve equal treatment?

  • @MrChamp51 50 years ago you could've made the same objection to interracial marriage."It doesn't feel right".If legislation was about certain individuals' feelings, women, ethnic minorities etc. probably couldn't vote and wearing sock with sandals would be illegal. If you can't demonstrate, that same-sex marriage is truly harmful to society at large or even just to you , then you have no business in hindering the juristic acknowledgement of consenting, gay adults' partnerships.

  • @Ahuli28 Well, what are your arguments?

  • @Ranokian Well we obviously have very different opinions and we're just going to have to respect each other's differences. Though my opinion matters little, as I have no doubt that homosexuals will have freedom to marry in the not-so-distant future.

  • Marriage is something created by religion yet an atheist is arguing that gay people gosh darn it ought to be allowed in on the deal.

  • @Ahuli28 Ok, you got a point. I tried to provoke a bit there, but that kinda smashed up my post. Lets leave religion out of the picture.

  • @Ranokian You say not to use a religious base, and then you say being gay is a gift from God? Pick one, are we going to include religion or not? Because if we are, I can show you several places in the Bible where it says homosexuality is a sin, NOT a gift from God.
