Samita Mohanasundaram has taught schoolchildren in an impoverished village in India, donated thousands of books to communities in need, and has made unique efforts to bridge cultural differences through music and dance -- all of this before she was even old enough for high school. For her efforts, she received the Alexandra Scott Butterfly Award from Volvo, named for a little girl with cancer who raised over $1 million for pediatric cancer research. This short film by fbi productions, profiling Samita's story, premiered at the Fifth Anniversary Volvo for life Awards ceremony in New York in April 2007.
