  • Good video, can you help me how did you change the fin for this board. I have one but the fin is "nova" 40 cms, which one is suitable? Thanks !

  • @lucergui

It takes either a regular or deep Tuttle box fin. Get a good racing fin on it and it becomes a MUCH faster board. I put 60cm on mine but you can go to the standard 70cm fin.

  • hey how did u get into planing at such a small wind with such a big board?? i have fanatic shark 160 and I used a naish sail 7.3 and couldn't get it into planing at all, just into annoying slowness:)

  • @andybon17

I'm only 130lbs, years and years of light wind techniques (pump the sail and pump the fin, time it like a dance while surfing the little swell there is), 60cm racing fin and the Sailworks Retro 8.0 when set with min downhaul/outhaul is a very powerful yet light sail.

    Hope that helps.

  • hi, did you use the baseplate to attach the camera or some other method? thanks.

  • The Bic Nova comes with a carry handle at the front, that's where I attached it. As for the other shots, the camera was on my helmet.

  • @fathomfathom Great, I imagine you removed the dagger too. Thanks for your help.

  • @fathomfathom Im about 70 kilos, and probably i have to learn the pumping technique. I tried to pump the sail couple of times, but i think i did it wrong. I just came back from holidays, and i only got on water twice, and once was enough wind but the second time light wind and culdnt get it planing...

But thanks for the advise! :)

  • how do you know when you can step into the straps?

  • thanks! i really like it
