Anny Ondra as Rose de Lila, the last great heroine in her movies. It was her comeback after her last war movie "Himmel, wir erben ein Schloß!" (1943) and after that she made only a cameo role in Die Zürcher Verlobung (1956/7).
Only twenty years after On a jeho sestra (1931) Anny Ondra is playing real opposite of her traditional characters. In early 1950's is she the oldest one.
Anny Ondra's Rose de Lila is like Marlene Dietrich's Charlotte Inwood from Stage Fright (1950), Gloria Swanson's Norma Desmond from Sunset Blvd. (1950), Jean Hagen's Lina Lamont from Singin' in the Rain (1952), Jiřina Štěpničková's Slávka Hradilová from Hvězda (1969) and Rosel Zech's Veronika Voss from Die Sehnsucht der Veronika Voss (1982).
In West Germany were people same cruel as in the whole world. Great stars from the past were in these times seeing in very untimely way. They were using as laughably old fashioned icons. That is very pitty, because new born stars as Sonja Ziemann (as Maria Schippe), same as in the script of this movie, made their career very hard in dependence on fame of people like Ondra...
The song "Stop - tu' nicht so als ob!" is by Michael Jary and Kurt Schwabach.
Stop - tu' nicht so als ob!
Denn ich spüre irgendwo:
Du bist nicht so, du just nur so
als ob - darum sag' ich: Stop!
Schau' mich bitte einmal an
und dann, ja dann, ja dann...
dann wirst du mich küssen müssen,
denn mit mir darf man nicht spielen,
wer nicht hören will, muß fühlen!
Stop - tu' nicht so als ob!
Denn du weißt genau, auch ich -
hin sehr verliebt in dich!
@kuksugare88 The whole film is quite good. As using the old themes in post war Germany.

@sexena1999 Thank you. This film seems difficult to get hold of - is it something worth watching?
