  • What is the title of the theme song ?

  • @rnye1, That is The Toccata and Fugue in D minor.

It is a piece of organ music attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach. It is one of the most famous works in the organ repertoire, and has been used in a variety of popular media ranging from film (1950s Sunset Boulevard, 1975's Rollerball), to video games, to rock music, and ringtones. The attribution of the piece to Bach has been challenged since the 1980s by a number of scholars.

  • Unfortunately, it was routine to reuse videotape, due to budgetary constraints. As the tape was needed, Dr. Shock episodes that were aired were erased and used for news remotes, or other things. Also when Kaiser sold CH 17 in the 80's, any remaining old shows would have been erased, for the new owner's uses.

  • @themaskdr This is incorrect.Bubbles claims to have video of the original shows and is looking to have them remastered to put them for sale.

There is a very nice Dr Shock tribute page on Facebook that Doreen (Bubbles) is a part of as well as Dr Shocks brother.

  • @ROTTINGDEAD You are correct. The family, Doreen included, does have each episode on a studio master.

In that post however, I was referring to Kaiser Broadcasting, and how the TV station handled the show tapes, and any video material that the public could access.

  • WOW! Where did you find this and do you have any of the complete shows?!?!?!

  • Hey Matt,

I don't have any full shows. I got these clips from a Best Of Dr. Shock show. It aired not long after his death.

  • @themaskdr Well done Sir.

How did You come by this information that the family has the masters?

I sincerely hope that something becomes of the masters.

I constantly entertain the idea of having my children watch the show around Halloween.

  • A weekly highlight of my mid teens in Wilkes-Barre! Thx!

  • I would have never guessed this would be on You Tube. What great childhood memories. Thank you!

  • Wow... what a great opening!

This is an amazing childhood flashback. Back when Saturday tv was fun (cartoons in the morning and horror in the afternoon).

  • I enjoyed watching this show in the early 1970's. Many fond memories.

  • Great show...I miss the old days ; /
