Panel moderator Anne Ishii and Secret Identities editor-in-chief Jeff Yang discuss their frustrations with both the media's hypersexualized portrayals of Asian women--which are criticized and mocked by the stories in the novel's "Girl Power" section--and the dweeby, not-exactly-masculine stereotype of Asian men. Jeff jokes he is that stereotype.

Co-editor Keith Chow notes the irony in using the sexed-up superhero genre to comment on distorted depictions of Asians.
