I've actually figured out how to get the sound and learned alot about the GT-8 in the process. Basically, Use Wave Synth on FX-1 and Pitch Shift +24 on FX-2 along with compressor. On the Pitch Shift setting, Set the Direct level to 0 (or anywhere from 0-20 if you want the bass pitches). Chain the EQ at the end of the FX chain to drop most of the lows. There ya go.

ok.. heres what you do.. pitch shift to +12 ... thats all he did.. but heres more..... get some hall reverb in.. swell and mild delay. killer sound.. but make sure its clean..

Sounds like the pitch bend or something but im not sure. Try it out
