Jess: Wait up, Joe!
He turned around, and smiled because I came.
I looked back, dad was now gone back into the house.
Joe: Hey.
Jess: Sorry about my Dad back there.
Joe: Yah, hes kinda..Scary.
Jess: Whats that?! The great Joe Jonas, King of the high school, who gets all girls, Scared? I'd never think so!
I gave him a shocked face.
Joe: FYI; I don't get ALL the girls. Just the majority of them want me. AND, yes I was scared. The man looked like he was going to kill me!
Jess: And, if it wasnt illegal, he would. He's really protective over me.
Joe: I can tell.
We approached his car.
Jess: See you tommorow.
Joe: Yah, see yah.
He leaned in, to kiss me.
Jess: Joe, we cant. Not here.
I tilted my head towards the window of the house, he looked over and seen my dad stood up, keeping his eyes on Joe. Making sure he didnt lay a hand on me.
Just for spite I pulled Joe into a hug. He wrapped his arms around me, and slid a hand down to my ass.
I laughed, knowing Dad seen him.
Joe: Well, you owe me a kiss.
Jess: I know.
Joe: Promise.
Jess: *sigh* Bye Joe.
He pulled away, got into his car, and drove off. I looked back at the house, took a deep breath and walked towards it. I walked in the front door.
Dad was sat down on a chair at the dining room table. His head was rested on his hand He looked up when I came in.
Gerald: Jessica, what was that?
Jess: Nothing dad.
Gerald: Don't nothing me. I didnt think you were that kind of girl.
His tone was getting angrier by every word he said.
Jess: Dad! Im 16! Not 6! I don't need you to baby me like a child!
Gerald: Don't get Sassy with me Jessica! I've never seen you with that boy before. What are you just going around kissing random boys now ?!
Jess: DAD! Have you ever thought there is a REASON why you've never seen me with Joe before!?!
He kept silent.
Jess: Exactly! You don't say anything because you know why! Ever since what happened with Bryan, you've been rejecting boys like they all have criminal records! NEWS FLASH DAD! They don't! Joe is a really nice guy.
Dad turned Redder every time I said Joe.
He stood up, and looked at me like I just ripped out a part of his soul.
Gerald: Don't you EVER mention Bryan's name in the house again! You hear me!?
He pushed me up against the wall. Wait, did he just do that? Tears started to fill up in my eyes.
Gerald: Jessie, (he only called me Jessie when he wanted my apology) im so sorry.
I looked at him, with fear in my eyes. The strength in his deep gray eyes flickered to sorrow. He tried to take me into a hig, but I didn't let him. Instead I ran up the steps, and into my room. Quickly I locked the door, now bawling.
He has never done that before. I mean usually he and mom fought. But I only know of one time he hit her. And ofcourse she forgave him. I know my dad isnt the poster man for perfect Father or husband for that matter, but he has NEVER tried to do anything to me or Daniel. And I know if I tell mom, she'll leave him. Then the break up of my family will be all because of me. I don't want that to happen, so telling mom was out of the question.
Suddenly my phone rang.
Jess: Hello ?
???: Hey.
Jess: Oh, thank God you called.
