  • One of the best films I've ever seen Gena Rowlands character is so real I think this film is one of the best films that portrays an ACTUAL and REAL woman going through normal issues but the way she handles them are so extreme.

  • Great film!

  • One of the greatest scenes of all-time.

  • Method. Madness. Rowlands is brilliant in these scenes. Wonderful actress.

  • A "chef d'oeuvre" of the american cinema. Myrtle Gordan cannot accept to be slapped because she doesn't understand her part in that play. She thinks Virginia is an old woman who can't love or be loved. Sarah, who wrote the play, tries to explain Myrtle her vision of the work. But the "Second Woman" comes in Myrtle's life and starts to haunt her...

Gena Rowland is absolutely fabulous in that movie. She expresses despair
